Andrew Chan is a freelance designer specialising in design development and visualisation for film and television.
Originally training as an Industrial Designer, Andrew turned his talents to the film and TV industry, working as a draftsperson and set designer on films such as Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, Star Wars Episodes II and III, Superman Returns, Avatar and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, due to be released in 2010. In addition, his TV credits include MTV – The Lair and To Catch a Thief, as well as numerous TV commercials.
His specialist skills as both a 2D and 3D Designer, and Concept Illustrator have led to his involvement on a diverse range of projects, the scope of which includes event and theatre design. He was Head of Technical Design at Opera Australia from 2006 to 2007, following which he worked on several large scale events including the Hi-5 Circus Stage Show and the FIFA Congress 2008.
Andrew is currently teaching Rhino 3D modelling part time at the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney.
